Hospital Eligibility
To be eligible for NSLP locum support, hospitals must be located in Northern Ontario within the North East or North West Ontario Health Regions.
Hospital eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Considerations in assessing eligibility for NSLP locum support include:
- specialist complement
- clinic and on-call requirements
- demonstrated active recruitment to viable, funded, full-time vacancies
- degree of isolation
- the need for relief coverage in small departments
- other factors
