Physician Eligibility

Geographic Location:

  • Base practice must be at least 40 kilometres away from the locum site; and
  • Permanent residence must be at least 40 kilometres away from the locum site.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A valid Certificate of Registration from The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • A current Certificate of Professional Conduct from The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • Membership in good standing with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
  • An active Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) billing number and billing privileges. For more information about registering for a billing number, visit OHIP.
